This DP (digital painting) is Dedicated to her in all respect, honor, and appreciation for who she is, as a very close friend and someone that I highly respect due to her influence of how she's helped me progress in this revisiting of Digital Painting. I wish you all the Best of Life, Romy and this one's for you!

"While staring at the world through my rear view, go ahead and scream to GOD, he can hear you", even though 2Pac said, that God "can't" hear you. This Digital Portrait/Painting/Piece was additionally inspired by that track, "Edge Of Night" feat. 2Pac & Phil Collins, .MP3 track.

"World In My Rear-View" is how we view the world, as being behind us, and not in our way. We recognize that we are in this world, but not "OF" this world. We are more than what this world claims to offer us, therefore, its in our rear-view, and it must keep up with us.

Created over a span of 1 entire week. Took longer than I expect due to some memory slow downs, and lack of several plug-ins, and needing to purchase the Wacom Cintiq digital pad. My former pad is done for. (salute).

Corel Painter X and Photoshop, and Ulead PhotosImpact 12 were the weapons of choice, and Photoshop CS (CS3 for detail) were used in sealing and finalizing it today. Began last week on the 12th of October 2007. Whew. I'm just glad it is done, and present this as a present to Black Lotus of Dream Concept GFX, as a present of Great Appreciation with an incident she faced this past week.

There was no C4Ds used in this entire image!!! None!

I wanted the face just as the photo was, as to stay original to the image, and usually when making something along these lines with the Cintiq Wacom pad, I chose to keep the lighting soft, non-aggressive and showing a forthing coming of an "approachment motion" in usages with the visuals...to bring out that "BRIGHT CHARACTER" of Black Lotus's / Romy's personality & character.

So, I stayed with what the original photo presented.

Thanks for the critiques, none the less, but no C4Ds this time. That is hair on the "our right" her left side arm, not a C4D render. The "flowers" are CPX's.
