This one is created when I was listening to COLLECTIVE SOULs 1995 Album, self titled,
Collective Soul, track number 8, She Gathers Rain. Great track and album, by the way.
Using my two weapons, Corel Painter X, and Photoshop CS. Using CS3, for detail and skimming away parts not needed in the image, and then finally digitalizing the image as an official digital painting. 9 hours of work, using Helvetica to finalize text, as with the UNTAINTED, and LIBERTY REBORN DPPs (Digital Painting Portraits).
After finalizing the image, created a monochromatic layer, color fill of both black and white, instead of using Desaturate, (sorry, using and operating in the old school Photoshop 4 skillage), to make it more indepth, crisp, and more realistic to a charcoal, and true sketch look, on a digital painting appearance.
Again, I would encourage all Artists venturing in DPPs invest in both Photoshop as the main basis program, but crossover applicatives with Corel Painter X. It is well worth the investment, especially for many of us that are on commission, and in Conceptual, Commericial and Client Based works, including some DPPs in Freelance & Photography editorials.
Uhh...thanks, Alia Whitfield. I just needed to do something away from sig/tags, LPs, and Wallpapers, and Qbex, and Frantic said, Hey why don't you get back into digital painting and I've been doing that ever since.
I'll be posting more... so stay tuned....

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
